Individual Counseling

ESTABLISH THE RELATIONSHIPS YOU DESERVE AND DESIRE. BUILD SELF-ESTEEM AND OVERCOME YOUR PERSONAL OBSTACLES.

Relationship struggles can leave us feeling stressed, overwhelmed, and burnt out. Whether or not you are in a partnership at the moment, you may realize you have personal struggles affecting the success of your relationships. Often times, a history of trauma can make maintaining healthy relationships very challenging. Repetitive trauma, known as complex trauma, might look like childhood abuse, sexual abuse, poverty, neglect, bullying, or living with someone suffering from mental illness or substance abuse. If you’ve endured hardships like these, it may seem impossible to feel safe and trust in others.

Since talking about personal struggles is difficult for many, our sessions often span beyond talk therapy. You can expect to build self-awareness through mindfulness techniques like body scanning and meditation. Building awareness around your physical self, in turn, helps with managing emotional reactions. Another modality, known as EMDR, will help you reprocess past trauma to live more freely in the present. Let’s work together in individual therapy to move out of fear and disconnect and into a place of acceptance and self-love.

Individual sessions are 55 minutes in length. My fee is $150 per session and I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance. I also hold a few sliding scale spots for those in need.

Setup a free 20-minute video consultation using my contact form linked below. Let’s connect live, so I can answer your questions and ensure I will be a good fit for your needs.

What can I expect out of therapy?

Sessions begin on a weekly basis, although some clients eventually choose to increase or decrease frequency based on their needs. Your first session will be spent reviewing your intake questionnaire and setting goals. Whether you have been in therapy before, or are new to the practice, my goal is to provide a rewarding experience on your path to relational growth.

Do you take insurance?

I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance and am a CPP provider with the State Health Plan. I do not accept Medicaid or Medicare. Clients using insurance are sometimes responsible for a co-pay each session. If you have another type of insurance other than BCBS, you may qualify for out-of-network benefits. I can provide a Superbill, which you can submit to your provider for possible reimbursement. I recommend calling the number on the back of your insurance card to learn more about your mental health benefits.

Where are you located?

I offer my services via online video therapy to North Carolina residents. I can work with clients state-wide!

What’s online counseling like?

Sessions take place via HIPAA-compliant, encrypted, secure video technology to ensure your confidentiality. We will be speaking face-to-face via a live video. In most cases, video counseling allows for more convenience and comfort for the client. Read more here.

Am I a good fit for therapy?

My clients are individuals who are seeking to improve their relationships, build self-esteem, and rediscover joyful living. Some are recovering from lifelong struggles, battling short-term problems, or seeking peace and clarity in their current situation. My free video consultation can help decide if we’re a good fit for each other.
